I succumbed to the lure of Harry Potter when a friend offered to let me read the series, this was before Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was published. I was somewhat apprehensive as the majority of the publicity was aimed at the younger readers but so many people had said they were a ‘great read’. Anyway I started on the first book Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone and was hooked from almost the first page. (more…)

The novel – “The Shack” is written by William Paul Young. The novel is fictional. Its about a christian father explaining the relationship he holds with God to his loving children. The author of The Novel Shack claims that the story is not fictional and its about real conversations he had with god. The Plot Summary of the The Shack goes like this – A protagonist named Mackenzie Phillip gets a chance to meet God at a Shack in a deep wood Forest. Mackenzie takes his time to decide whether he should accept the invitation and take this chance. Finally, One day he decides to go to the Shack and meet God. (more…)
